I think any sound coming from elsewhere only brings a natural feel to the scene as these are some of the same sounds we hear when we're in our bedrooms. On sunny weekends, I often hear my neighbor's kids playing outside while I sort out my girlfriend in my bedroom.

I agree with the contributor saying that the 'unwanted' background sounds and noise bring a true sense of reality to scenes being filmed. I find it almost impossible to criticize ITC but 'producers' need to think more like the consumer. We're not all the same, of course, but when we view your wonderful performers, we tend to transpose them into our own living conditions for those few moments. When the conditions are replicated on film, the interest and arousal increases.
